Hypnotherapy can be used in healing many situations for both emotional and physical difficulties. As I previously mentioned the therapist connects directly with the subconscious or unconscious part of the mind. As this part of the mind is very literal and without imagination, the therapist is able to guide a new awareness into the subconscious mind, to enable changes to memories and habits etc., which although may have served a purpose in the past but have become unhelpful, to a new understanding which makes beneficial changes for the client. This is usually achieved by the therapist giving suggestive direction, but can also be achieved by the therapist guiding the client to the place in their life which was the cause of a difficulty/ies, so that it can then be resolved.
